Helix Tower

Flagstaff, Melbourne, Australia

The air, the view and the light is the only surrounding atmosphere that brings it to true value of life.
This project explains the integration of nature environment as an art being translated into a design language.

Contextual references and site study.

The single cell and the structure of the building were inspired by the prototype of the Capsule Tower. I was mesmerized on its concept by stacking and rotation on different degree, to create different view and experience of space.
The dynamic structure of Turning Torso also inspired me on how through mimicking art and nature of a human body would work for a structural purpose.

A series of test models has been implemented to experiment how these precedents were manipulated and looking at different typology would be accommodate such form and spaces in response to the natural environment.

Looking out from the units, it forms an experiential connection where one interacts with another and hence creates a physical interaction between neighbors.
These renders interprets how the light and view that is being integrated into the interior.
